אבא של ערן בנה את בית העץ עוד כשהיה בגן חובה ומאז זה הבית שלו ושל חבריו. מעבר לגבעה הולכת ונבנית השכונה החדשה, ובקרוב יסללו אליה כביש. לשם כך עומדים לכרות את חורשת האלונים ואיתה גם את עץ האלון של ילדי בית העץ. הצטרפו למאבקה של החבורה להצלת החורשה ובית העץ!
